CSHA Foundation Scholarship Program

One of the foundation’s goals is to provide scholarship funds for qualifying CSHA student members who are pursuing a graduate degree in the fields of Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Communicative Disorders, and Audiology.

CSHA student members who are currently enrolled (at the application deadline) in a California advanced degree program in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or Audiology are eligible to apply.

Yes. The scholarships are for CSHA student members who are attending an advanced degree program in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or Audiology in the State of California.

Yes. In order to be considered, a scholarship applicant must be a current student member at the time of application.

Complete and submit the CSHA Graduate Scholarship Application online.

Completed applications must be submitted electronically by 11:59 P.M. (PST) on December 15 of each year.

Scholarship recipients are notified in January each year.

Scholarship recipients will be mailed a check from the foundation following recognition at the CSHA annual convention.

Applicants must submit all information required on the application in order for the application to be considered complete. Applications are evaluated based on the following criteria and weights:

  • Cumulative undergraduate and graduate GPA. (10%)
  • Description of undergraduate and graduate involvement in pre-professional and volunteer organizations. (40%)
  • Statement of career objectives and professional interests. (30%)
  • Two letters of recommendation. (10%)
  • Brief statement of intended use of scholarship funds. (10%)

Applicants may only receive a scholarship once. In this way the foundation is able to support as many students as possible.
